THE SONY NEX-7

I LOVE THIS CAMERA!!

So much more than a pocket camera, the 24.3MP NEX-7 exceeds expectations. Get performance that would give most DSLRs camera envy, including interchangeable lenses, a 2359K dot Tru-Finder™ OLED electronic viewfinder, up to 10fps shooting, and outstanding Tri-Navi™ 3-dial manual control. Record amazing HD movies in super-smooth 60p, standard 60i or cinematic24p, all at Full HD 1920x1080 resolution. Sony has not been the front runner in so many areas that they once were, but this camera could put them back on top!! This will be my next camera and I can't wait to shoot video with it!
The Luminous Landscape has this to say about the NEX-7
The NEX-7 truly appears to be the photographic equivalent of a PocketBattleship. It's small and light enough to be carried all day in one hand, yet has the image quality capabilities of a much larger camera. With its very bright and high resolution electronic viewfinder it surpasses the eye level viewing of most APS-C DSLRs, with their small tunnel-vision viewpoints – though as mentioned, shadows do block up in the viewfinder in high contrast situations. When it comes to video, theNEX-7 has it all, including full HD 1080P at 60 fps, and 24fps for aspiring film makers

Cineblax Future / No More Square Bricks

It won't be long and we will be wearing our cell phones. I remember having one of the first cell phones...the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X, its battery could provide 1 h of talk time, and its memory could store 30 phone numbers. I thought I was the Sh*t.......the thing weighed about 3 pounds, but I didn't have to stop at payphones (remember those) anymore.
Sony's vision of the future...

GH2 vs. Red Scarlet

I wish I could buy a Red Scarlet! But let's face facts......
even at 15K (with the needed accessories) I have about as much chance at getting one as I do a new Lamborghini.
"Straight off...... the camera the GH2 can look great, but the Scarlet holds up far better in post, where you are able to change pretty much any aspect of the image to a massive extent. This simply isn’t possible with DSLR footage.
In low light, the GH2 puts up a good fight. In fact from some tests I have seen the GH2 come out slightly on top in low light but the shadows are still more blocky. Grain however is very fine and helps to hide the blocking of the lows.
Colour is smoother and more natural on the Scarlet but artifacts (aliasing and moire) seem not noticeable on both cameras. It really is an impressively clean image from the down scaled 18MP NMOS sensor in the GH2.
The GH2′s image is punchy and baked in, and cannot be flattened as much as with the RAW video from the Scarlet, but David is doing another test with Smooth and -2 contrast to bring up the shadows a bit. All in all the GH2 puts up an incredible fight considering the massive price difference."

You Will Go Bankrupt If You Don't Eat Yourself? / A Lesson for All Product Companies

Kodak is going BANKRUPT!

Former Kodak VP Don Strickland -

“We developed the world’s first consumer digital camera. Kodak could have launched it in 1992. We could not get approval to launch it because of fear of the cannibalisation of film.”

Steve Jobs -

“If you don’t cannibalize yourself, someone else will.”

Who is the Smarter CEO? This is the kind of thinking that Steve Jobs had and was able to change our world! Before the dawn of the digital camera, Kodak made nearly all of its money from selling film. In a similar manner, before the invention of the iPhone, Apple made a great deal of its money from iPods. Both the iPhone and iPad cannibalise sales of the iPod and MacBook Air, which were highly profitable major product lines. But Apple had the conviction in their belief that the iPhone and iPad were better products which would sell like crazy. Kodak didn’t have the same conviction in their digital technology. Nor the same vision.
Our world of technology moves so fast.....if you don't keep up, you will be left behind...I promise you that!
