Here is some test footage from Michael Plescia . It looks like a 1970's gangster movie. Some don't like this type of look. It is graded with "grain" and is certainly not "Video Sharp". I happen to love it. Can't wait to buy a Digital Bolex!

You can now purchase a 1000 dollar DSLR camera and with some talent make a movie that will ascetically rival anything that "Professional Film Makers have produced (using 100,000 dollar cameras). If you really have some talent, you can now make a film that is indistinguishable from a Hollywood big budget movie, using equipment costing a "Fraction" of that `100K! Just check out what a young film maker did with a DVX100 and not even a DOF adapter.Cineblax first post!
This movie trailer was made on weekends, using only friends and family as crew and shot using a camera that is now almost "Obsolete" in comparison to the latest cameras like the Canon C300
It is a really exciting time for DV Cameras, Computers, and technology in general. We here at Cineblax hope to play just a small part in helping you to keep up with the "Speed of Light" changes in our world of Technology. UPDATE JULY 24, 2024. 13 years after this little BIO was made. Everything that I said seems to have really held true. The video camera has just continued to become amazing over the past years since this was originally written As an example the Canon C300 has really held it's own as many film makers are still using them. Canon's latest camera in this family is the C400.

With all the amazing cameras in 2024, including the RED cameras, which have become a Hollywood director's staple. Especially The Red Komodo.....

But I beleive the most amazing video camera today (which is under $600) is tht DJI Osmo Pocket 3.
